Depth for Greece

aster dataset of bathymetry in Greece (Eastern Mediterranean). Bathymetric datasets, covering the Greek waters, were downloaded from EMODnet Bathymetry portal (EMODnet Bathymetry Consortium, 2018) and were re-analysed into a single raster file. The spatial resolution of the generated raster dataset was 0.01*0.01 decimal degrees. Depth was expressed in meters and in positive values. Prepared by Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research for use in the i4SEA project.

Fishing areas of Greece (ELSTAT areas)

The dataset contains polygons (shapefile) of the sixteen fishing areas of Greece, based on the the Hellenic Statistical Authority categorization. Prepared by Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research for use in the i4SEA project, stored in the IMAS-Fish (Kavadas et al., 2013).

University of Piraeus AIS data 2018 - preprocessed for Machine Learning algorithms usage

AIS data collected by the receiver at the University of Piraeus, preprocessed for Machine Learning algorithms usage. After preprocessing (deduplication and noise elimination) of original AIS messages, this dataset yielded 30,942,100 point locations. Attribute "MMSI" in the original data is used in processing as the identifier of each vessel.

Heterogeneous Integrated Dataset for Maritime Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (HIDMISR) - preprocessed for Machine Learning algorithms usage

AIS kinematic messages provided by NARI (Institut de Recherche de l'ecole Navale), preprocessed for Machine Learning algorithms usage. After preprocessing (deduplication and noise elimination) of original AIS messages, this dataset yielded 7,472,443 point locations. Attribute "MMSI" in the original data is used in processing as the identifier of each vessel.
